Axial Fan
Axial fan is a kind of cooling fan. The blades of axial fan push air to flow in the same direction as the shaft. The impeller of an axial fan is similar to a propeller. When it works, most of the airflow is parallel to the axis, in other words along the axis. When the intake flow is free air with zero static pressure, the power consumption of the axial fan is the lowest. During operation, power consumption will increase with the increase of airflow back pressure. Axial fans are usually installed in cabinets of electrical equipment, sometimes integrated with motors. Because of their compact structure, they can save a lot of space and are easy to install, so they are widely used.

Centrifugal fan
When the centrifugal fan works, the blades push the air to flow in a direction perpendicular to the axis. The intake air is along the axial direction, while the exhaust air is perpendicular to the axial direction. In most cases, the cooling effect can be achieved by using an axial fan. However, sometimes if the airflow needs to rotate 90 degrees or requires more wind pressure, a centrifugal fan must be used. Strictly speaking, the fan is also a centrifugal fan.

Mixed flow fan
Mixed flow fans are also called diagonal flow fans. At first glance, mixed flow fans are no different from axial fans. In fact, the inlet of the mixed flow fan is along the axis, but the outlet is along the diagonal of the axis and the vertical axis. Since the blades and casing of this fan are called conical, the wind pressure is relatively high. Under the same size and other comparable performance, the noise of centrifugal fans is lower than that of axial fans.

Cross flow fan
Tubular air flow will produce a large area of ??air flow, which is usually used to cool the large surface of equipment.
The inlet and outlet of the fan are perpendicular to the axis. Cross-flow fans use relatively long bucket-shaped fan impellers to work. The diameter of the barrel-shaped fan blade is relatively large. Due to the large diameter, a lower speed can be used on the basis of ensuring the entire air circulation to reduce the noise caused by high-speed operation.
